About the Scholarship and Communications Coordinator Role
CBM is looking for an experienced communications professional to support the Inclusive Health Initiative by leading communications efforts and coordinating scholarship programmes. The position brings together several key functions:
- Strategic communications planning and execution

Key Responsibilities of the Successful Applicant
The Scholarship and Communications Coordinator will take on the following core duties:
1. Lead Communications Strategy
Develop and implement communication plans that support the Inclusive Health Initiative. This includes planning activities that highlight programme achievements, raise the profile of CBM’s work, and reinforce the organisation’s key messages.
2. Produce Communications Content
Create high-quality materials that tell the story of CBM’s impact. Typical outputs include:
- Case studies that illustrate real-life results of programmes
- Social media content designed to engage diverse audiences
- Articles for the organisation’s website
- Internal newsletters that keep staff and partners informed
- Regular programme updates
- External publications aimed at donors, partners, and the public
These materials help demonstrate the difference CBM’s work makes for people with disabilities and their communities.
3. Coordinate Scholarship Programmes
Oversee the complete scholarship cycle to ensure smooth and transparent delivery. Responsibilities cover:
- Managing application processes from start to finish
- Supporting the logistics of candidate selection
- Onboarding new scholarship recipients
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Communicating regularly with trainees
- Coordinating with training institutions to support scholars’ progress
The goal is to ensure every stage of the scholarship process runs efficiently and fairly.
4. Manage Stakeholder Relationships
Act as a central point of contact between CBM teams, universities, training institutions, government stakeholders, development partners, and scholarship recipients. Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships is essential to the role’s success.
5. Maintain Programme Records
Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including scholarship databases, contracts, academic progress tracking, financial documentation, and programme reports.

Eligibility Requirements
1. Education
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, International Development, or a closely related field will be put into consideration.
2. Professional Experience
Candidates should bring:
- At least seven years of experience in communications roles
- Background in international development, health, innovation, or entrepreneurship
- Proven experience managing communication outputs and producing professional publications
- Other related fields will be considered
Experience with scholarship, education, or training programmes is considered an advantage.
3. Required Skills and Competencies
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Excellent writing and editing abilities
- Strong storytelling skills that can convey impact clearly
- Experience using digital communication platforms
